Admissions Information

Admissions to the Scarborough Pupil Referral Service are by referral from schools through the Scarborough Collaborative.   We offer both Statutory and Discretionary places.  Places are offered on a needs-led basis and can happen very quickly.

Statutory placements consist of a bespoke programme of study and experience for pupils:

  •   Who have been permanently excluded from school
  •   Medical pupils who cannot access full time mainsteam education
  •   Pupils involved with the Youth Justice Service
  •   Pupils directed to us by the Local Authority

A Statutory pupil in year 11 is likely to complete the year with us and take external, national examinations at our Centre.

Discretionary pupils can be supported by us on bespoke programmes of study; it is likely that these pupils will return to mainstream education to complete their education.
